“The Trust Hotel will breathe new life into a historic landmark and be a premier destination for visitors to the Great Lakes region. Investments like this one will revitalize downtown, create good-paying jobs, and keep Erie growing stronger for years to come.”

Formerly known as the Erie Trust Company Building, this 14-story landmark is renowned for its distinctive Art Deco and Renaissance Revival architecture and is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

As part of The Trust Hotel renovation, five remaining historic murals painted by Edward Trumbull in the 1920s will be thoughtfully restored and preserved.

Originally completed in 1928 to house the Erie Trust Company, the Renaissance Centre was built as an expansion of the institution after it became Erie’s leading banking company in the mid-1920s.

We’re truly grateful to partner with such exceptional collaborators in bringing this boutique hotel experience to life.

THE

Arrival

We can’t wait to reimagine this landmark into The Trust Hotel—a thoughtfully designed boutique hotel that blends historic character with modern comfort and elevated hospitality. This transformation will honor the building’s legacy while introducing a new standard of stay in downtown Erie.

As the only boutique hotel in Erie, The Trust Hotel will offer a distinctive experience for visitors and locals alike, creating a new destination for gathering, staying, and celebrating in the heart of the city’s downtown.

We look forward to transforming this iconic structure into The Trust Hotel—a boutique hospitality experience that blends timeless architecture with modern comfort. Every detail of the renovation is guided by a commitment to preserving the building’s character while creating a welcoming destination.
